Jimmy Carroll Elected Isle of Palms Mayor, November 7, 2018

November 15, 2017

Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I am truly humbled by everyone who supported me, put bumper stickers on their cars, yard signs, held meet and greets, sent out letters, and or made telephone calls. I will not even attempt to name names for fear of leaving someone off, but this was a victory for Isle of Palms residents, residents who wanted to be heard by their elected officials. The residents spoke out loud and clear. Even if you did not vote for me, I am there for you, my door will always be open. I am planning on being available several afternoons a month at city hall for anyone to come talk the good, the bad or indifferent on what the city is doing or needs to do. I want to have a Charette board with all the needs our residents feel we need to tackle, and to have everyone put a sticker on the top 5 issues they feel is most important. Items such as the beach, parking, traffic, drainage, cardio room, marina, coyotes, front beach rest room and so much more. The issues will be suggested by you, our residents. By doing so, it will be a visual board that will show our city what our residents feel is the top priority on down. I’ll let you know more on this later. Remember to vote on November 21st for the remaining two seats, plus, my seat’s election will be on February 13, 2018. Thank you Isle of Palms. The following two days after the election, I attended the South Carolina Beach Advocates meeting and came away with a flyer on personal and civic actions we can all do. It is time we all work together as one island, put aside any differences and lets enjoy and make better our piece of paradise. Remember, my door is always open. I share this posting on Facebook where there, people can make suggestions seen by all. Again, I want a very transparent city. Thank you, I love you all.
